How to pay with the Troy card via the Letim app

Card payments from Russian-issued cards often do not pass 3-D verification at the moment. If that happens to you, you can pay with a Troy card from the Letim app instead. This page explains how it works.

What a Troy card is

Troy is Turkey’s national card scheme. Our bank, Is Bankasi, accepts Troy cards on its payment page with 3-D Secure, the same as Visa and Mastercard.

What Letim is

Letim is an app that gives you a Troy card. The cards are issued by Moka United, an electronic money institution licensed by the Central Bank of Turkey. You can see Moka United on the Central Bank’s official list of licensed electronic money institutions, and Letim explains the card on its own FAQ page.

How to get and use a Letim Troy card

Install the Letim app and open an account with your phone number. To raise your limits, verify your identity in the app with your passport and a selfie.

Top up your Letim wallet in rubles from a Russian bank using SBP, Russia’s national faster-payments system. The app converts the money to Turkish lira automatically.

When you book with us, use your Letim Troy card on the bank’s payment page, the same as any other card.

Limits can change. Please check your current limits in the Letim app before you pay.

Important: a Letim Troy card is issued in Turkey, so your booking is charged in Turkish lira, not euros. The amount is shown in Turkish lira before you pay.
